Well known Kingaroy Paper Tole expert Rosemarie Matthews-Frederick will be exhibiting her beautifully framed three-dimensional images.
Her works take you on a journey of discovery. Each picture has involved the cutting, shaping, sculpturing and gluing of cutouts from identical prints and then building up these components to create a 3D image. Rosemarie has enjoyed creating Paper Tole works for over two decades and this exhibition displays her exceptional skills of shaping and sculpting the small pieces of paper to create realistic images.
“What’s in Your Pocketses” by Evelyn Morrisson and Larysa Fabok Explore unseen objects in this unique exhibit of creative works by Evelyn Morrisson(Art of Evy). Evelyn believes ‘’art is fun, and it provides an opportunity to not only relax but also to investigate the possibilities of creativity’’. Recycling found items, including those intentionally discarded by someone unknown, is her passion. Trained in fine arts and graphics design Evelyn provides Gallery visitors with an opportunity to have a “hands-on” experience by touching many of the exhibits.
Influenced by nature and the joy of artful play Larysa Fabok uses art to release her inner child and satisfy her curiosity. Larysa combines traditional artistic methods with digital tools, including animation and photography. Her exhibition includes one-off artist books given extra life by making a paperback version available. Digital and woven collages are also on display to touch and feel art, but you must visit to see ‘’The Bunyip Dances at Midnight”.
Marilyn Leitch continues her Exhibition ‘From the Country to the Sea’ for a second month. Her love of nature dominates her work whether it be birdlife, wildlife, landscapes or domestic animals. She explains she “aims to bring her subject matter to life so everyone can enjoy the beauty that surrounds us in our amazing country. “
The Official Opening Friday 31st March has been CANCELLED DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS.
These exhibitions will delight and inspire everyone, and put a smile on your face!
