Tania Rae Corbet & Elisha Wolter “The Space We Make”

The Space We Make is a collaborative exhibition by artists Tania Rae Corbet and Elisha Wolter, exploring creativity, connection, and personal expression through contemporary artistic practice.

Bringing together two distinct creative voices, the exhibition reflects on the spaces we shape through art — both physically and emotionally — and how creativity allows us to communicate stories, identity, and experience. Through thoughtfully crafted works rich in individuality and imagination, The Space We Make invites visitors to engage with the ideas, textures, and conversations formed through shared artistic exploration.

Collaboration with Tania Rae Corbet & Elisha Wolter

Our work begins with the simple act of gathering materials—threads, cloth, and fragments of the past—and grows into a shared space shaped by conversation, intuition, and creative passion. Working side by side, we explore how textiles can hold memories, gestures, and the quiet traces of human connection.

The Space We Make is both physical and emotional. It is the room we create for each other as collaborators, the space we open for viewers to pause and feel, and the place where cloth becomes a vessel for recalling memory, belonging, and the feeling of home.

Through our textiles, we honour the beauty of process, the value of shared making, and the quiet power of connection.

From carefully pieced designs to richly textured surfaces, each quilt represents the time, patience, and creativity that make quilting both an art form and a deeply personal practice.

A Quilting Journey invites visitors to slow down, look closely, and appreciate the artistry woven into every stitch.
