The Tulip Project: Exploring Love, Loss, and Life

Kingaroy Art Gallery is proud to present The Tulip Project, a compelling solo exhibition by local artist Ruth Ellington, opening Saturday, 1st February 2025. The opening night event will be held at the gallery, located at 126 Haly St, Kingaroy, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with the official proceedings led by Mayor Kathy Duff.

Ruth Ellington’s work delves into the profound themes of love, loss, and life, offering audiences a deeply personal yet universally relatable experience. Through her artistic alter ego, Tulip, Ellington navigates the complexities of human emotion with raw honesty and evocative storytelling.

“This exhibition is an intimate exploration of the many facets of life,” Ellington explains. “Tulip allows me to channel these experiences and emotions in ways that speak to the
heart of what it means to be human.”

Guests at the opening night will have the exclusive opportunity to hear from the artist herself and enjoy light refreshments as they immerse themselves in the vibrant and thought-provoking works. The Tulip Project will remain on display at the Kingaroy Art Gallery for the entire month of February, offering visitors plenty of time to engage with Ellington’s poignant collection.
Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the art of Ruth Ellington and her captivating alter ego, Tulip. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.
