KAT Members Exhibition & Competition 2026

Due to an unexpected vacancy, Kingaroy Art Team (KAT) is pleased to offer Gallery One in May to our valued members for a special KAT Members Competition and Exhibition.

This exhibition marks the return of the much-loved KAT Members Exhibition, providing an opportunity to showcase the creativity and talent within our own artistic community.

Have you created something recently? Or is there a piece you would love to exhibit again? We invite all current KAT members to share their work and be part of this special exhibition.

Exhibition Details

Maximum of 3 artworks per member
$500 People’s Choice Prize
Entries close: 27 April 2026
Works to be delivered on: 30 April & 1 May 2026
Winner announced at the end of May
Exhibition runs throughout May

Works may be offered for sale, with the usual 20% gallery commission applying.

Please note: textiles are not included in this competition.

Quilt vs Quilt – Let the Community Decide!.

It’s time for a little friendly competition at the Kingaroy Regional Art Gallery!

The Battle of the Quilts invites handmade quilt creators to enter their work into a special exhibition where the community will vote to decide the winner of the $500 People’s Choice Award.

From bold modern designs to treasured traditional patterns, this exhibition is all about celebrating the creativity and skill within our local quilting community. Every quilt tells a story — and this is your chance to share yours.

What to Expect:

A vibrant exhibition of handmade quilts created in the South Burnett region.
Community voting throughout the exhibition.
$500 awarded to the People’s Choice winner.
Entries close 19th June 2026
Deliver to Gallery on: 28 June 2026

🗓 Quilts displayed throughout July 2026
🏆 Winner announced at 1pm, Sunday 19 July (at the completion of the Quilt Trail)
🧵 Limit of 3 quilts per person
🧶 Quilts must be handmade (not store-bought)
