Raukawa is an exhibition that invites you to delve into my personal journey of design, where the beauty of botanicals intertwined with the creative teachings of my beloved Grandfather and Nanna. Raukawa being the family’s home in New Zealand. Nanna’s home being in Kennilworth in the UK. Their garden was a magical place of pure creative beauty a Mecca for storytelling.

Inspired by the natural wonders that surrounded me, I embarked on a path of exploration, seeking to capture the essence the earth’s botanical treasures through my chosen medium of design.

I invite you to step into My Raukawa, where botanical design becomes a conduit for storytelling. Raukawa represents my deep connection to the land, paying homage to the profound influence that my Grandfather and Nanna had on my creative journey. Each artwork details the vibrant hues of native flora, serving as a visual testament to the delicate balance and harmony found in our natural environment.

I infuse my designs with a sense of reverence for the lands that have nurtured me through my life of love, trauma and discovery.

As you explore this exhibition, I hope you will embark on your own journey of discovery. Let the botanical designs guide you into a realm where art and nature merge, where the stories of the land and my personal narrative intertwine.
