Mini Prints 2025 – Call for Entries!

Are you a printmaker looking for an opportunity to showcase your work? Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting your printmaking journey, the Mini Prints Exhibition is the perfect place to share your creative side!

This exciting exhibition celebrates the creativity and diversity of printmaking, inviting artists of all skill levels to submit up to four original prints in a 15cm x 15cm format. As part of the event, we’re also hosting a print exchange, giving you the chance to receive a surprise print from a fellow artist!

Join us and register to be a part of this unique celebration of printmaking. Let your work inspire, connect, and delight art lovers and fellow printmakers alike!

Guidelines for the Kingaroy Art Gallery mini print exhibition

  • You may submit up to 4 different unframed prints. (your own unaided original work)
  • Please include 1 extra NFS print for the print exchange. (See note below) This can be an edition of one of your submitted prints or a different one, but same size format.
  • Maximum size 15cm x 15 cm
  • Paper size must be 19cm x 19cm. to allow a 2cm border.
  • Cost for entry is $10. (This is the cost for entry for 1-4 exhibited prints)
  • Deliver to Kingaroy Art Gallery

    On or before Saturday July 26th 9 am -1 pm or post for arrival before July 26th 2025.

Each print must be individually protected by acid-free tissue or glassine paper only using the fold-over technique.

Signing and editioning

All prints must be signed and editioned in the print margin along the bottom edge of the print in pencil only with the following details.

  • Left hand side -edition number (1/10, 2/10 etc)
  • Centre- Print title.
  • Right hand side -artist’s signature/mark and year of completion
  • Do not write on the back of the print

Print Medium

All entries must be created using a recognised print making process. E.g. serigraphy, etching, lithography, mezzotint, drypoint, linocut, woodcut, gocco etc.
Also Accepted

  • Chine colle techniques- must be used with archival glues, papers (e.g. inkjet prints are not acceptable)
  • Hand coloured prints after the print has been pulled
  • Blind embossed/ debossed prints
  • Monotypes/monoprints
  • Purely digital/photographic prints not accepted but the inclusion of this medium as part of the hand print image creation process is welcomed (e.g. photographic etching) provided that the final physical print is not produced using a digital print method.

Paper selection

All prints must be printed on a recognised archival paper.
E.g. Fabriano, Hahnemuhle, Rives BFK, Stonehenge, etc. Handmade paper made specifically for the print can also be used.

Information about the print/s

On a separate piece of paper, wrapped with the print, no bigger than 19 cm x 19, to fit on the reverse of your print cm please list.

  • Type of paper you have used
  • Ink/ oil or water-based
  • Type of print e.g. lino cut, Drypoint, Etching, monoprint etc
  • Printed with a press or by hand
  • Sale Price. Please include the gallery charge of 20%

PLEASE NOTE: This year as part of the exhibition the gallery is including a print exchange. Please include 1 extra print in same format. In return, you receive a print from another exhibitor. It is a “lucky dip’ process.
