“Horse Drawn” presents a series of captivating artworks, each offering a unique and imaginative interpretation of the energy embodied by horses. Sam Blanch, the talented artist behind this collection, explores the essence of these majestic creatures through a distinctive artistic process.

“These are my horse drawings. I hope you enjoy them!

Each work strives to approach a unique imaginative interpretation of the depiction of the energy embodied by a horse.

Gestural marks are expressed automatically on the paper using a brush pen and ink. Refined more consciously into an expressive
sketch of a horse from memory from multiple perspectives. Surface elaborated with patterns using black fine line markers and
gold acrylic paint pens to create visual interest, illusion of movement and volume.”

Sam Blanch has exhibited his work almost every year since 2005 in artist run initiatives, group shows and some solo shows. Starting out painting and drawing, he later went on to experiment digitally but continues to match the medium to the message he wants to portray. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art and Visual Culture) from Curtin University of Technology, Perth in 2012.
